What is breast augmentation?

It is the process of changing the size or shape of the breast, to achieve a fuller shape and texture, while improving the proportions of the breast’s balance and natural position. Thus, making it look more youthful and fresher, through implants or autologous fat injections (fat transfer).

Breast augmentation surgery at MK is performed under the supervision of the best Turkish specialist doctors in their field.

Who is breast augmentation performed for?

Women over the age of 18, who wish to have a firm breast with a normal size.

Male breast reduction

Gynecomastia in men is a swelling in the breast caused by an imbalance in androgenic (male) hormones compared to estrogen (female) hormones…either an increase in estrogen (female hormones) or a decrease in the level of testosterone (male hormones) over a long period of time usually More than a year.

This long-term imbalance in the hormonal imbalance leads to an accumulation of fat in the breast area. Over time, this fat hardens and the mammary glands of the breast swell, resulting in gynecomastia. Male breast reduction is performed either through liposuction and/or the removal of glandular tissue. During the operation, these tissues are removed, liposuction is sometimes used, and the nipples are reduced if they are too large. Surgical incisions are made around the nipple and heal so that it is no longer visible

What are breast implants?

Breast implants are special injections that are injected into the breast in order to enlarge or reshape the breast. They are usually made of silicone, saline, or any other compound.

At MK, we use two types of breast implants in our clinics:

  • Silicon:

It is the most common breast implant. Due to its preferred properties, it is very safe and gives a natural look. The implant is filled with silicone gel, with a silicone outer shell.

  • Saline implants:

Saline implants contain a saline solution, which is placed inside a silicone rubber sleeve.

All of our MK implants are 100% safe. Consultation with one of our experts at MK Clinic can be requested to find out the best option.

What happens during breast augmentation process?

Before the operation, the doctor discusses the size and shape of the implant to obtain the desired natural result.

During the operation, the surgeon makes an incision under the breast, to insert the implant through it. The implant is placed either under the breast tissue, or under the pectoral muscle over which the breast is located, depending on the shape and size of the breast.

If breast augmentation with fat transfer is chosen, then there is no need for any artificial implants.

Final results are complete after several months.

What are the recovery procedures?

After the operation, a dedicated bra is required for 6 weeks, and an elastic bandage for about 3 days.

After several months, the scar completely heals and almost disappears.

It is necessary to stay away from physical exercise and lifting or pushing heavy objects for at least two weeks.

One of our specialists monitors the health status for a period of 3 to 6 months.

MK clinics provide a free medical package to speed up the recovery period and avoid side complications.

The recovery period from breast augmentation surgery is usually short.

Brest lift

What is the Brest lift surgery?

A Breast Lift is a surgical procedure that restores a firmer, more elegant, and more aesthetically pleasing shape to sagging breasts by removing excess, stretched-out skin and reshaping the breast tissue. Sometimes, a Breast Lift surgery might include raising the nipple and areola into a more forward position. Stretched large areolae can also be reduced during breast lift surgery, creating an overall better proportioned, natural-looking breast. In MK, your surgeon can simply create your dream breast contour.

A Breast Lift can be combined with a Breast Augmentation procedure where the fat transfer or breast implant is applied. Breast Lift improves the patient’s appearance by restoring her youthful, feminine proportions and boost her self-esteem to wear bras and swimsuits by creating an overall better proportioned.

For whom is breast augmentation performed?

  • Women who suffer from sagging breasts after the end of pregnancy and breastfeeding. Where a breast lift operation can address these changes, and restore a more attractive appearance.
  • Women with saggy breasts due to aging.
  • Women who have experienced significant weight loss. Where losing weight, means losing breast size. The tightening process helps restore the breasts to its shape, making it firmer and more beautiful, by removing excess skin.
  • Women who suffer from sagging breasts since adolescence, and want to have breasts with a firm and youthful texture.

What are breast lift techniques?

The MK medical team relies on a variety of breast lift techniques, in which the incision patterns vary. The technique and incision pattern are chosen, based on personal goals, the patient’s wishes, the amount of excess skin in the breast, and the existing breast tissue. These techniques are:

The main Breast Lift Techniques used in MK are:

Crescent Lift:

This is the technique that our experts follow when a small amount of sagging needs to be corrected, and a small amount of excess skin is removed. Crescent Lift leaves a very minimal scar that usually disappears entirely after the operation.

Peri-Areolar Lift:

It is used to correct mild sagging. This type of lift is also effective in reducing areola size where the resulting scar traces the edge of the areola.

Vertical Lift:

Provides more extensive reshaping by removing excess skin and reshaping the entire breast with modest, easily hidden scars. This type is commonly used and applied to women with more excess skin in the breast area.

Inverted T Lift:

This type includes a complete reshaping for the breast with changing the nipple size and position.

After Breast Lift Operation:

It’s reasonable to experience swelling that might last for two weeks to a maximum of three months; however, you will need to wear a surgical bra to ensure getting the best results desired with the minimum complications. It’s highly recommended to rest for two to three weeks, while you can resume everyday light activities gradually.
